Plot Summary :
Felix Darcey is a known serial killer. People think that something must have happened to make him this way. Something is wrong in his brain. Which is why ever since he has been in the Alabaster Penitentiary, he has been the subject of many examinations. Doctors love to torment him and he hates them for it. He hates giving up his control so that they can observe him like a lab rat. That is until the one profession he hates is the most ends up being his biggest obsession.
Doctor Lemuel Love never had an easy life. With a negligent family , he was doomed right from the start. He tries so hard to curb his instincts. To not give into the temptation of observing the brains of serial killers , to observe what makes them tick. Because the reason he likes to observe their twist is not because of scientific research. It's just plain happiness. He likes seeing them work. He is not disgusted by it. He loves it. All his restrictions are removed when he gets the once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the biggest prison and observe one of the greatest serial killers of all time who is known to be dead to the public eye but is being kept in the prison. Overall Opinion :
Dr. Love is here! I swear I laughed so bad at his name. Not because it's a bad name. But because it's just opposite to how the man himself is 🤣 He probably is one of the most detached, coldest heroes of all time and then this name, just made me laugh so bad.
Felix and Lemuel are absolutely on fire. Based on their personality and the fact that this book is a true crime romance, I did not expect this much steam lmao, but it was so good.
Definitely recommending this standalone to all the Dark MM romance lovers. The standalone books are connected so I recommend that you read them in order to avoid spoilers of the last books. There are also a lot of triggers like non con, lab torture and much more.
