The Star-crossed Lovers Duet
From USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ashley Jade comes a gritty, off-limits standalone romance about mistakes, choices, and love conquering all.
He was the mysterious dark knight always swooping in to save me when I needed it most.
I was the troubled girl with scars and a bleeding heart.
He was the gifted guitarist destined for big things.
I was the small-town girl battling her demons.
He was my earth....always keeping me grounded.
And I was his sky...always just out of his reach.
Our love was everything I wished for.
Until I destroyed it.
I never thought I'd see Memphis Payne again after I broke his heart, but the stars had other plans.
Because here he is...needing me to clean up his mess this time.
Only problem is...
Doing so will break both our hearts.
They say only the strongest love can survive an apocalypse.
That if two people are meant to be, they'll find their way back to each other.
I hope they're right.

Plot Summary :
Memphis was everything Sky wanted. But her wrong choices put them on a path full of pain and anger. So she went away and tried to move on. Or so she thought. Because life was not done screwing up with her yet. She never thought she would see Memphis again after she ruined them both but here they were. This time? It was her chance to be destroyed.
Overall Opinion :
Omg . I have been dying for this couple ever since I read THE WORDS. They were the side character but the angst was 🤌 . And then imagining them as the main couple drove me crazy Ughh. I am so grateful that Ashley decided to give us their duet!
You might think that since this is the part one of a duet , it will have less angst or steam? Noooooo . The angst in this book was a punch lmao , it was that painful and good. But that is the best thing about this author , she always delivered the best steam and angst.
Memphis and sky have a story that will stay with you for a long time and specially after that ending 🤣 Is it too early to go and Beg Ashley for the next book lmao.
Totally recommending this one to all the contemporary romance loving people out there
